Bainbridge Prepares Partnership Named As Grand Marshals For 2022 4th Of July Hometown Parade

As the Chamber team plans the return of the Grand Old 4th, the ways in which our community has pulled together over the past 2 years remain at the top of our minds.

With that mindset, the choice for this year’s Grand Marshal is obvious, if a little unconventional…

At the head of this year’s parade, we are delighted to announce you will see the leaders of the Bainbridge Prepares Partners (Bainbridge Prepares, COBI, BIFD, and the Community Pharmacy), alongside numerous supporting local organizations and hundreds of Island volunteers…

In what was an incredible team effort, more than 600 volunteers, and dozens of organizational leaders made the Bainbridge Island–led COVID-19 vaccination effort a success, administering more than 25,000 vaccine doses in under six months to people in Kitsap County and beyond.

Yes, you did read that right: Representatives from a huge coalition will create a parade-within-a-parade, and a visual depiction of what has been their amazingly huge effort to ensure that vaccinations were available to every Islander and to so many of our neighbors too.

On behalf of the Chamber and our community, we offer our grateful thanks… see you all on the 4th!

Grand Old 4th Bainbridge Island

IT’S OFFICIAL – THIS YEAR’S JULY 4TH WILL BE GRAND AND OLD AGAIN!

While we are making big announcements, and as a further marker of normality’s return, the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is delighted to take this opportunity to formally announce that many, many plans are officially underway to bring back the traditional 4th of July celebrations on Bainbridge Island.

As is our Island’s tradition, you can look forward not only to that Hometown Parade being led by the Bainbridge Prepares Partners, but also a full Celebrate Bainbridge week of festivities – with the BYS Fun Run, Street Fair, Beer/Wine Garden, Kids Zone and more on the 4th, plus the Downtown Association’s July 3rd Street Dance, and Rotary’s legendary Auction and Rummage Sale on July 2nd (with a Preview night on the 1st) underpinning 4 days of fun and more than 15 individual events

All events are being responsibly planned with all appropriate safety considerations in mind.

Check the Grand Old 4th webpage here at bainbridgechamber.com over the next few weeks for info, updates and how to apply to join the fun…
