Beyond our core mission to help all local businesses thrive, the Bainbridge Chamber provides multiple online and in-person daily services, not only to our members, but also to our community and to island visitors.
As we move onwards and upwards in 2021, the Chamber is looking towards both expanding those services and (hopefully soon!) re-opening our offices, so below please find an overview of some fresh new paid and volunteer opportunities available as of today, as well as an RFP to help revamp and relaunch the Chamber website.
Read on, step up and help us help the island…
1. Island Tabs & Titles R Us
The Bainbridge Island Vehicle/Vessel Licensing Desk is ready to add an agent-in-training with a view to expanding capacity and opening hours. Help out your fellow islanders with a special mix of customer service, attention to detail and community spirit.
No previous experience necessary, and full training and oversight will be provided in what is anticipated to be an initial 6-to-9 month training period.
Sense of humor, ability to maintain grace under pressure, and efficient multitasking skills recommended and preferred.
2. Share Your Love of Bainbridge Business
Connect the Island with your own unique blend of digital marketing, community connection, and memorable turns of phrase.
The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is looking for an enthusiastic data-driven digital native to help expand our marketing and communications and build brands, create attention, and grow communities, initially on a part-time basis.
Successful candidates should demonstrate ability to communicate in branded voice alongside a working knowledge of digital marketing techniques, plus excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadline.
3. Be The Ambassador of All Things Bainbridge
Like most island nonprofits, the Bainbridge chamber of commerce is nothing without our awesome community volunteers, so we are looking for fresh faces to join our island ambassador team as we move towards reopening the visitor info center on Winslow Way and our kiosk at the ferry terminal.
Whether you’re new to the area and want to learn more about your community, or a longtime resident with plenty of knowledge to share, becoming a Chamber Ambassador is a great way to both help promote our beautiful island home and meet locals and visitors from all around the world.
4. Dear Local Website Creatives & Developers
As an unusual combination of business member-driven non-profit, community hub, visitor center, and state licensing facility, the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce sits at the nexus of many aspects of Island life.
We are advocates for our members, service providers to our community, and ambassadors for our island.
As part of the Bainbridge Chamber’s current evolution, there is an urgent need for the website to be revamped and relaunched to better service users across all our diverse community functions.
The Chamber seeks a professional partner for an 8-10 week website project to create a new WordPress-based digital hub with a mission to inform and build island community connections at its heart.
