With A Little Help From Our Friends, Bainbridge Chamber Moves Towards Full Reopening To Public

With a potential end to the state-wide COVID Healthy Washington Roadmap to Recovery starting to finally swing into sight, the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is preparing to reopen its Winslow Way offices and Ferry Terminal Information Kiosk to locals and visitors.

As a very public first step, the Ferry Terminal Kiosk has received a full exterior make-over, thanks to the generosity of Chamber partners Bainbridge Ready, Peninsula Paints, and When Pigments Fly weaving their remodeling magic over the weekend. On behalf of our entire community – please join the Chamber in saying thanks to Adam, Jeff and David next time you see them!

Inside the Chamber offices, a massive reorganization project has been underway for the past few weeks, relocating the Department of Licensing, Visitor Information and Fish & Wildlife desks in preparation for a full interior remodel led by our friends at Coates Design Architects + Interiors over the next few months.

When complete, in addition to improvements to all the desk spaces, both a conference room and a pop-up retail space will have been created for the exclusive use of Bainbridge Chamber members (stay tuned for more details on that, but for now, here is a sneak rendered peek of what we are heading towards).

New safety measures and equipment for these pandemic times are now also in place, staff and volunteer training is underway.   Our goal is to have a full reopening to our friends, neighbors and members before the end of this month – we cannot wait to see you all again in person very soon…

UPDATE (05/25/21): Thanks to our wonderful team of Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce Island Ambassadors, t he Ferry Terminal Visitor Information Desk will open to the public on Friday, May 27th, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

It will remain open daily all summer until after Labor Day weekend.
